 Kevin Smith, Composer

   Kevin Smith: Kyler: After seeing 'West Side Story' at a local Junior High, Kevin was hooked on Bernstein, until a friend brought around Kiss Alive II. The battle between Broadway and Rock and Roll has been raging in Kevin's head ever since. His many productions as actor and director include: Pippin, West Side, Chicago and several Oklahoma's. After getting an electric guitar Kevin began creating original Rock Musicals and Operas.

 Bill Toscano, libretto  Bill Toscano: Frank, Donnie: Bill's acting roles include Gods, Kings and Pirates with a specialty in Northern Italian Renaissance men, like: Galileo in The Discovery Channel’s Great Books Series and Leonardo da Vinci and Christopher Columbus in educational videos.  Bill's been “Pompey” in “Measure for Measure,” “Strength” the film: “The Summoning of Everyman” “ Jigger” in “Carousel,” “Oscar” in “The Odd Couple,” and “The Cowardly Lion” in “The Wizard of Oz.”

 Lynn Sharp Spears  

Lynn Sharp Spears: Min, Michelle: Lynn is so glad to be IN the Fringe rather than On the Fringe. She has Performed, Directed, or Designed for Arena Stage, Studio Theater, The Kennedy Center, Washington Shakespeare Theater, Adventure Theater, Roundhouse Theater, The Folger Theater, Toby’s in Columbia, and Troika and Networks National Tours. She LOVEs Bears…and Lions-oh my!


 Mundy Spears Mundy Spears:  Cindy: Mundy Spears is very proud and thankful to be the Goldie in this Bear family on and off the stage. She is an actor, choreographer who has recently returned to DC after four years of training and performing in NYC.  In the very near future you will find her as the front woman in a radical band with fellow Dead Cub Scouts; Chris, Christian and Dexter. Mundy must thank her family for everything. Be your own creature! PEACE 

  S. Xavier Carnegie: Jazln, Kylette:  "X" is most excited to be doing a (hopefully) grown-up performance in Bear Beach.  Usually seen in children’s/  museum theatre, X is loving the new adult company.  Would love to thank Bill and Kevin for giving him his dream role:  Mundy’s boyfriend!  Hit me up on Facebook!


 K. Clayton K. Clayton: Hot Bear, Louie, Wiley, Go-Go pirate 2, Paramedic:  Clayton has performed throughout the Metro Area.  Roles include Sgt. Toomey in Biloxi Blues (Washington Area Theater Community Honor Winner: Best featured actor in a play 2005), Melersch in “Enchanted April” and Elliot 1 in “Taking Leave”(WATCH Nomination Best Overall play 2006, 2007 respectively.) Films: “The Contingency 4,” “Nudist Camp Zombie Massacre” and “Dead Reckoning: The South Will Rise Again”.  He’s writing his first book about growing up gay in the 70’s and dedicates this performance to Scott, his partner, who has been battling cancer since February. You will win baby!

 Dane Figueroa Edidi Dane Figueroa Edidi: Madame Natwaski, Skye, Daniel:  Dane is a graduate from the Baltimore School for the Arts and The Catholic University of America, he studied Jazz with his aunt and late uncle Liz and Bill Byrd and mentors Mark Cook and the late great Ruby Glover.  He has performed in several area theatres and has been blessed to work in the operatic and musical theater fields. A cabaret performer at heart, he had his first cabaret at the age of 15 at the Great blacks and Wax Museum in Baltimore and made his DC cabaret debut in 2005 at Mimis American Bistro. He is blessed to be apart of this project and gives thanks to the Eggun, his family, his friends, The Spirit Mothers and the Orisha.

 

 Quentin Nash Sagers

 

Quentin Nash Sagers: Smokey, Cubby, Rusty, Frankette, Go-go Pirate: Quentin holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Utah State where he appeared as Friar Lawrence in Romeo & Juliet, Victor in Cabaret, and Tommy in Dreamer Examines His Pillow.  He's performed in Godspell & Private Lives at Fauquier Community Theatre in Warrenton, and Pippin at The Indian Head Black Box in MD.  He thanks his friends and family for their support - especially to Logan & Sean, who will always be conniving for him.

    
  Chris Miles Chris Miles: Bitchy Bear 2: Chris Miles was born to make people laugh.  He has performed a variety of roles including Ronald Reagan in The Nancy Reagan Story, Marley’s Ghost in A Christmas Carol, Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside in Auntie Mame, plus numerous characters in productions of Fiddler On The Roof, Barefoot In the Park and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.  A consummate ham, Chris uses persuasive techniques and empathy as the owner of a collection agency.  Chris and his lover Jason co-own Leather Central and are respected members of the Rehoboth Beach business community. 
    
  Claude Stark 

Claude Stark: Bitchy Bear 1: Claude has been trying to quit Bill Toscano for over 16 years now. Claude has teamed up with Bill in many projects as an actor and executive producer, first meeting when Bill cast Claude as “Max” in “Bent”. They founded The Forum Theatre in Baltimore. Most recently they partnered in a parody pantomime of "A Christmas Carol".

    
  Scott Olson  Scott Olson: Bitchy Bear 3: Scott although a late entry to the cast, is having a blast!  He most recently played Scrooge, directed “Beautiful Thing” and “Say You Love Satan” and will direct “Jeffery” in 2009.  He co-starred with his partner K. Clayton (Hot Bear, Louie) in the movie “Contingency 4” and tons of other stuff and thanks and gives him major love for sticking with it this year.  We made it!!
    
  Dexter Fontaine  Dexter Fontaine: Dead Cub Scout - Drums, Percussion: Dexter Fontaine-Long considered one of the DC music scene's top rock drummers; Dexter Fontaine's legend continues to grow as he lends his incomparable drumming abilities to the musical production of Bear Beach.  Fontaine is currently involved with numerous other musical ventures including Cobra Collective, The Dustys and the DC rock band Death By Sexy with fellow Dead Cub Scout member Christian Baldo.
    
  Christian Baldo 

Christian Baldo: Dead Cub Scout - Bass, Percussion: Despite having been involved in numerous musical projects over the past twenty years, "Bear Beach" is Christian's first venture into musical theater, and he couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity.  When not performing songs with rigor mortis as the bass player for The Dead Cub Scouts, Christian shares rhythm section duties with Dexter Fontaine in the Washington, D.C. rock band Death by Sexy.          -- That's probably fifty words, right?

    
  Chris Spears  Chris Spears: Dead Cub Scout - Keyboard, Synth: When Chris isn't studying the mysteries of quantum physics, he can be found making various types of noises around the Baltimore/DC area. In particular, he can be seen piloting the synth for Bubble & Squeak, a rocking and rolling type band. Besides the keyboard, Chris colludes with the guitar and the banjo.
